I f you didn't inherit the HSA from anyone, answer No.

The caveat is just telling people who inherited the HSA from their spouse not to answer Yes.

You only say Yes if you inherited the HSA from someone who isn't your spouse.

Ah, I get it now - it’s only considered inherited, if you inherited it from someone other than a spouse
