I donated money to a few Go Fund Me accounts, primarily for medical expenses. Does that count as charitable deductions?

I'm afraid not. Only donations to qualified charities are deductible as charitable donations. An account to raise money for an individual (for whatever purpose) is not considered a qualified charity.

For the last few years, Turbotax has suggested I take the standard deduction which I have. The system also deducted my charitible contributions. What's different now?
