Churches are NOT qualified charities for an AZ Tax Credit for general purpose tithing. Some sects sponsor School Tuition Organizations (STOs; List: https://azdor.gov/sites/default/files/REPORTS_2019_sto-i-list.pdf ), and some run specific charities (QCOs; List: https://azdor.gov/tax-credits/contributions-qcos-and-qfcos ), but contributions made to Any church, and not to a specific, listed affiliated charity - and receipt therefrom - are Not eligible for the AZ credits.

Arizona
The tax code for a charitable organization such as a church is 501(c)(3) .
I need a charity code for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.
It is the state of Arizona.
See here for the complete list of Qualified Charitable Organizations for Arizona for 2024.
This is the same list available in TurboTax if you click "Charity List" in the "Is my organization qualified?" link. Arizona allows a credit for donations made to those organizations and you would need to enter the code for the organization.
For Arizona tax credit purposes, the department assigns a code (a 5-digit identification number) to each qualifying charitable organization and the UCO fund (for example: 23456). If your donation receipt did not include the charity's code, the department's list of qualifying charities includes the code assigned to each charity and the UCO fund code. Be sure to enter the code number for each qualifying charity for which you and your spouse made cash contributions."
For the purpose of this credit, qualifying services are services that meet the recipient's immediate basic needs. The services must be provided and used in Arizona.
Services that meet these needs include the following:
* cash assistance
* medical care
* childcare
* food
* clothing
* shelter
* job training
* job placement services
