I don't have a mortgage and put in 0.00 for mortgage. Trying to finish, the program wants a name for the mortgage...of course I don't have one. How do I move forward?

If you visited the mortgage interest area, the software will load a 1098 interest worksheet for you. If you don't have mortgage interest to record, then you need to delete the form.

Type '1098' in the search box then select the 'jump to' link. Then select the trash can on the mortgage deduction summary page.

If you still get hung up in the review or in filing, go to Tax Tools, Tools, Delete a form. Then scroll list to remove the worksheets for the mortgage and delete. They will be labeled Tax and Interest deduction Worksheet and Home mortgage interest Worksheet.
