Yes, you may receive a deduction for Job-Related Mileage depending on your tax situation (see where to go below). The mileage rate for 2016 is 54 cents per mile.
Under certain circumstances, you may include your actual expenses as itemized deductions under Employee Expenses. However, to deduct employee business expenses, your total miscellaneous deductions must be more than 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income. And you must have more itemized deductions (ie: medical, mortgage interest, property taxes, charitable giving, etc.) than the Standard Deduction. (TurboTax calculates this for you, based on your entries.)
In order to test this, you may need to upgrade. But first, calculate the total mileage deduction you would receive, then add all your other possible itemized deductions listed above. If that total is not at least as much as the Standard Deduction, there is no reason for you to itemize.
You can look up the Standard Deduction for your filing status here: What's my standard deduction for 2016?
The easiest way to find the Job-Related Employee Expenses section of TurboTax is to use the Search box at the top right side of the TurboTax header. Click on the magnifying glass, type in "2106" (the number of the form), hit Enter, and click on "jump to 2106" to go directly to beginning of this topic.
Or go to My Account >> Tools >> Topic Search. Type in "2106", then click the topic in the list to go directly to the start of this section.
