How do I report mortgage deduction for house I live in?

I rent a room in a house where I have a mortgage.  Under rental expenses, it tells me to put in the full mortgage and it will allocate.  But then under deductions, it tells me to put in the full amount there for my mortgage interest.  And then it doesn't allocate but doubles the mortgage.  So what do I do?

How do I report mortgage deduction for house I live in?

Only enter the amounts in the rental section, TurboTax will allocate between your rental and your personal deductions and you do not need to enter anything in the Mortgage interest section outside of your rental (because as you said it then doubles the deduction which is not correct)
