How do I check my Eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit? Turbo Tax changed its mind about my refund for no apparent reason.

I was almost done reviewing my return, ready to submit, when I hit the back button and my refund amount (fed) dropped by $1,500 for absolutely no reason.  I was showing as eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, but now I can't find it anywhere in TurboTax.

Open your federal return if not already open:

1. Go to Deductions & Credits
2. Click on Edit next to Earned Income Credit (EIC) listed under Your tax breaks. If the EIC is not listed, click on Show more next to You and Your Family below  
3. Click on Revisit next to Earned Income Credit (EIC)
