Hi I am a girl scout leader and I pay a lot out of pocket for materials and meetings can I claim that on my taxes?

I do have all of the receipts and I have been a leader since Dec. 2016 I don't know if that makes a difference. Also can I claim mileage to meetings and events since my meeting place is two towns over?

You may deduct, as a itemized deduction,  out of pocket expenses incurred as an official Girl Scout Leader, to include materials and charitable mileage deduction ( for 14 cents per mile) .  The amounts must be: Unreimbursed, Directly connected with the services, Expenses you had only because of the services you gave, and Not personal, living, or family expenses.
