Gross distribution hsa

I received this due to my brother's death as i was benif. I personally added nothing so not sure how to answer all this questions

The program should ask if this was inherited.

Since you are not the spouse, it will be considered by the IRS as taxable income to you.

You may, however, report any medical expenses of your brother's, you may have paid, or will pay within a year of his death.
