Foster or Adopted

We adopted our daughter on Nov 13, 2020. So on my 2020 tax return do I claim her as Foster or Adopted? Does the IRS want to know as of Dec 31, 2020 what she is or for most of the year? We have had her for 3 years.

If the adoption was final on Nov. 13, 2020, report her as "Adopted" on your tax return.

The IRS only wants to know what her status was as of 12/31/2020.
