Form 4797 AMT

Line 6 says 'gain, if any, from line 32'. But there is no line 32; the page stops at line 18b. There is an amount entered for line 6, and I'm trying to see how it's derived.

What did you sell ? Part III of Form 4797 deals with Property Under Sections 1245, 1250, etc. If you sold real property, that belongs on Part III and you myust have made an entry mistake. If you sold land, for example, it would on page one. If there is no need for page 2, then you did not have anything on Line 32 to carry to Line 6.

Thanks, Leeloo. I sold a rental property, so land and improvements (i.e the building). The land component shows up in Part I, but the improvements/building does not appear anywhere. I think you may have identified the problem - an entry error. I'll go looking for it.
