form 1116 - error message needs review

Form 1116: Line 3 eb: Gross income from all sources should be greater than than your Foreign Income on Line 1. Review entries made for foreign income or enter adjustment as necessary. 

I only have foreign income, rental income, rental house sale and small pension. 

Anyone have a work around as this message is not allowing me to file

The first step would be to double check that you do not have any decimal points in the wrong place.  Double check that your foreign income, rental income, pension and house sale income do not have any entry errors.  

Pay special attention to your foreign income as this seems like it may be the place where a number is missing. 

You can get back to that section by selecting

• Federal
• Income and Wages
• I'll Choose what I work on
• Edit next to your foreign income.  

Using the desktop version, you can also just go to forms mode and look for form 1116 to verify your entries.  If the numbers are in blue you can change it directly on the form.  If it is not, you can click step by step to get back to the interview question.
