Foreign income

I am a green card holder and I was admitted to USA for the first time on March 17th, 2023 for just one day and went back to Canada. I was living in Canada and I was working there for a Canadian Company till March 31st, 2023. Then I started working with a company in USA since April 3rd, 2023 remotely while still living in Canada. I moved permanently to CT on June 30th, 2023. As of June 30th, 2023, we all deemed non-residents of Canada for tax purposes. Can you please, explain to me if I need to declare foreign income before March 17th?

Foreign income

Yes, you will need to include all of your income from all sources on your return since you are a Green Card Holder.  This means, the rules that apply to a US Citizen apply to you when it comes to taxes.

Any income you received after getting your Green Card would be included.  Income prior to getting your Green Card, if not earned in the US, would not be taxable income to the US.
