Entering a large donation

In the program: 

1. click on Deductions and Credits

2. scroll down to Donations to Charity in 2019

3. click START.  The program will ask  "Who did you donate to in 2019?"

4. enter the name of the organization 

5. "What did you donate?" allows you to click on the type of donation:, items, money, or stock along with mileage and travel expenses. 6.Simply select the correct button and follow the prompts.

Depending on the donation type and value, there are various requirements for claiming the donation. Please see Pub 526 for any additional questions you may have.
