On irs. gov it clearly states that if you claimed (qualified) for EITC one would receive an update (a deposit date) on February 22,2021, but I haven’t received a date and my refund was accepted on February 9th. What could be the reason??

Actually, it says that Feb 22 is the Projected Date for that. The IRS did do a major update this past weekend, but may not have updated everyone yet. It also says this: First week of March. Tax refunds begin [emphasis added] reaching those claiming EITC and ACTC (PATH Act returns) for those who file electronically with direct deposit and there are no issues with their tax returns.2021 tax filing season begins Feb. 12; IRS outlines steps to speed refunds during pandemic | Internal Revenue Service Going forward, you can arrange to have fewer taxes withheld from your paycheck or other income so that you do not have to wait for a refund at tax time.

Actually, SweetieJean, it says what I questioned, but anyway! Even though, “where’s my refund,” IRS2Go., and TurboTax itself never showed approved or an update for my tax return claiming EITC. Still to this day it only shows “accepted!” Something told me to login my turbo tax card app and their it was, my return, in full, on February 23rd! Like I say, still no updates on any of those site, only in my bank account! Thanks for the reply!

So, when doing your taxes with turbo tax, apply for that advance, get a turbo card, check your updates by turning on email notifications, and if you don’t have any mistakes, and filed early enough, your might receive your refund sooner than expected. Good luck!😊
