Hi,
I have purchased the TurboTax desktop version for Macbook, and input all my info as usual and I need to include a manual input to line 13 of Schedule 3 form in order to incorporate a claim of rights (I.R.C. 1341). However, the form is not available for editing. I can only edit a few fields in blue.
Can you please advise how to edit. Thanks

The line you need to select is Line D of the Other Credits and Payments Smart Worksheet above line 13. (Only lines D and E of that worksheet are directly editable.)
When you click on that line there should be a magnifying glass. This indicates there is a worksheet with information that flows to this schedule.
You will see a worksheet labeled Other Credits Worksheet this is where you enter the information for the credit along with 1341 to indicate it is a Claim of Right. Then the information will flow to Schedule 3 and to your 1040 form.
All entries that seem like you should be able to enter on Form 1040 or Schedules 1 through 3 have to be entered on TurboTax's 1040 Worksheet. Scroll way down to Other Credits and Payments Smart Worksheet. Select item D, claim of right under IRC 1341 for repayments. It ends up on line 13 of schedule 3.
Thank you, but I tried this and I can neither select the D box nor input any info under line 13 on 1040 WKS. Please advise
I have windows, so I cannot speak to the capabilities of Apple.
@DianeC958 , as mentioned above, I can neither select the D box nor input any info under line 13 on 1040 worksheet using Desktop version for MacOS. Could you please advise.
Would you please post a screen shot of the form. Blank out any personal information an I will see what I can do.
@DianeC958 , the only field I can edit is 10 A (in blue). All the others are not possible.
The line you need to select is Line D of the Other Credits and Payments Smart Worksheet above line 13. (Only lines D and E of that worksheet are directly editable.)
