Does the child tax credit decrease from $2000 to $500 when a child turns 17 in the tax year? My income is below the $200,000 threshold.

For the child tax credit the child must be under the age of 17 on 12/31/2024. A child age 17 or older is eligible for the Other Dependent Credit of $500.
