Hi.
I have spent about an hour scouring all the tabs in the business section of the Home and Business version of Turbo Tax to try to find where I can access the Qualified Business Income Deduction. And am unable to find it. Does anyone know which section this is under in the desktop software? The only answer I can find on the internet says Screen 18 which isn't helpful.
TIA

In the Search box located in the upper right of the desktop program screen, type in qualified business income deduction and click on the Enter button. Click on Jump to qualified business income deduction
Thanks but that only loads links to answer questions about the topic.

Did you enter the type of income where the QBI would be available? If so, then there would be a Form 8995 or a Form 8995-A included in your tax return.
Click on Forms in the upper right of the desktop program screen. When in Forms mode the Form 8995 should be listed. Click on the form to open.
each activity in your return has a separate 199A section. That's the QBI deduction. You should see a question like "Is this a 1999A activity". if it is answer, yes. In the end the information to compute the deduction flows to form 8995 or 8995-A
