Do I need to enter a vehicle sales price if a car was traded in for a new vehicle during the tax year? Do I use the trade in amount for this?

It would be the total sale price which would include what they gave you as a trade-in.

So, 20,000 plus 5,000 trade-in equals 25,000 cost.
