Dependent Care Carryover?

My wife and I set aside funds for 2018 dependent care but used it in early 2019, when she had a job. She did not have earned income in 2018. Is the best option to carry over that amount into 2019?

You can only claim dependent care credit in the year you paid the expenses for the dependent care.
