Deductions for vehicle used for work.

I am required to use my personal vehicle for work. My company does pay me gas allowance on a per mile basis every month. Can I still deduct all expenses on my vehicle including gas, maintenance, tolls, repairs etc?

I have been told yes and also no. I need a solid correct answer I can trust. Thanks!

No.  Employee job related expenses are not deductible on your federal return. The employee job related expense deduction was halted from 2018 to 2025. Prior to that, you had to itemize the expenses and they were subject to a 2% threshold.

They may possibly be deductible on your state return depending on which state you live in. However, since your expenses are reimbursed, you would not be able to claim a deduction for them.
