I'm a teacher on Outschool. I have two questions:
1. I offer coupon codes and refunds all the time to market my business in Facebook groups. Can I deduct the amount of the coupons redeemed from my taxes?
2. Outschool takes 30% of all my earnings in fees. Can I deduct the 30% fees from my taxes?
Thanks!

1. As a self-employer teacher, you can deduct the redeemed coupons as a business expense under Advertising
2. Fees charged by Outschool are deductible if they pay the gross revenue and you pay them 30% fees.
If they deduct the fees and pay you the net amount, then you report the amount received and do not deduct the fees.
