Deduction for attic insulation?

Does anyone here know if there is a way to enter in expenses for attic insulation without having a receipt that shows the cost of the materials?  The company only bills by a flat rate so the receipt is not broken down by labor and materials.  Just checking!

Deduction for attic insulation?

If you trying to deduct an energy credit then see below.  If not then please provide more details.

Homeowners can be eligible for a tax credit of up to $500 or 10% of qualified energy efficiency improvements, such as insulation.  Is that what you are trying to deduct?

I suggest you call the company for a breakdown or compute the actual cost yourself by calling to price the type that you received by the area space.  Keep your receipt to show total cost and how you determined the deductible portion.
