deducting a garage used for woodworking business

I started a woodworking business and converted my 400sq ft garage into a workshop. How can I claim a deduction for this space. If I try to claim it as a home office deduction because I have a business loss for the year as a result of my startup cost, Turbo Tax will not allow it.

You cannot take the home office deduction if you have a loss on your business.  You will lose the home office deduction for 2023 if you have a loss.
