Can I file a charity donation from a previous year?

I forgot to add a charitable donation from a previous year. Can I file it now ?

Sorry, but NO, it is only deducted in the year you donated it.

If it was a large $$ amount, and you itemized Federal last year, you could go thru the amend process for your 2015 tax return and deal with it taht way, but unless the $$ amount was significant , I wouldn't bother.
