Completing 1099 Misc

I received 1099 C for my wife's consulting work. I completing the worksheet it pulled my name instead of her name. I over-road and put the correct name. The program tells me that using override could be a problem. The 1099 Misc is in her name.

You just need to get rid of this 1099-MISC data and re-input.

I did that early thought it was pulling infro from there. I fix issue by leaving my information but just thinking it won’t match up with 1099 misc. I’ll try again. Would mismatch with 1099 cause a problem?

it could because IRS does match its information in accordance to the information you record in the return. If questioned in an IRS examination, just give a good explanation on why the information is different.
