claim parent as a dependent

My federal tax is rejected because my mom whom I claimed as my dependent is listed as my dad's spouse. My dad intentionally indicated he will not file jointly with my mom. What did I do wrong? Please help.

You MIGHT not have done anything wrong. I've seen quite a few similar situations this year. It may be a 'glitch' in the programming somewhere.

You will just need to file by mail.

For 10 years I was made to believe that because I didnt have a "real job" I can't file. My parents claimed my 3 children and I, while I didn't understand. What's next?
