I serve on our Church Safety Team. I learned in a recent training session that I could claim expenses as deductions in regard to training classes, mileage for training classes, ammunition for training and the expense of the firearm used for use on the safety team. How and where do I file these expenses for deductions?

As an itemized charitable deduction, but it all your itemized deduction do not exceed the standard deduction it will make no difference.
2021 standard deductions
$12,550 Single
$18,800 Head of Household
$25,100 Married Jointly
Add an additional $1,700 for over age 65 or blind
You can enter any expenses not reimbursed by your church as charitable cash deductions for the amount you actually spent (keep receipts).
There is another part in charitable deductions to enter your mileage. TurboTax will do the math and convert that into cents per mile.
