Charitable Deductions - volunteer

If I attended conferences and events and paid for hotel and rental cars for transportation, where are those amounts captured in Turbo tax

For charitable contributions, go to the deductions and credits tab and "Explore on My Own."  They are listed on the next page as "Charitable Donations."  Treat them as cash contributions.  Make sure you have receipts, and an acknowledgement from the organization.
