Can I default to a standard 1040 form and not answer all those questions for itemized deductions?
Follow the directions below to switch to the standard deduction:
- Log in and click take me to my return (unless already in).
- Click the search box and type in the exact phrase: standard deduction and exemptions.
- Click the "Jump to" link in the search results
You are now on the screen where you can change your deduction from itemized to standard.
