NON RESIDENT ALIEN

If you are a non-resident alien, your return must be filed on Form 1040NR, which cannot be prepared using TurboTax.  You can use TT’s partner, sprintax:

@Shellu , agreeing with @xmasbaby0 , that  1040-NR ( for Non-Resident Aliens ) cannot be prepared  with TurboTax and  reading your post , I am not sure  of your situation:

(a) did you leave and surrender your H-1B visa when you left  USA on  12/13/2022 ? or was this a temporary  / planned return ?

(b) you also did not  say whether . even with H-1B, you actually earned  income and your employer withheld taxes  on your behalf.  Did you earn ?

(c) which country are you from  ( for  tax treaty considerations ) ?

(d) was this your only residency in the USA  during the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 ?

Please answer my questions and I will circle  back on hearing from you .
