Can I claim mortgage interest if my name is not on the mortgage/deed but have paid all the payments? My wife is on the mortgage along with her ex but we pay everything.

Are you and your wife filing a joint return? If her name is on the mortgage and you file jointly you can enter the mortgage interest paid for 2017.

Why hasn't something been done about getting your spouse's ex off the mortgage? Seems like that should have been addressed during the divorce.
