Hi. Is $4495 too much to list as job related expenses as a nurse? This includes graduate school expenses, uniform costs/cleaning, supplies, job seeking costs ect.

As long as you have adequate records and receipts for these expenses, there isn't an amount that is considered "too much".  If you were not reimbursed for supplies/education expenses by your employer and can substantiate the amounts you are claiming, deduct them.

The same is true for cleaning costs of your uniform -- the definition of uniform is: work clothes are necessary for your job but not suitable to wear outside of work. For more information:

Job search costs that are deductible: you can't be looking for a job for the first time as a nurse or if there is a significant break in time between your last job or your current job.
