As a sole proprietor selling digital goods (for now), how do I do my taxes and do I need a state sales tax regitration number to get started?

My state threshold is $100,00 or more than 200 separate transactions in the current or last calendar year.

As for your federal taxes, you are self-employed, so you will  be paying self-employment tax as well as ordinary income tax.  if you use online TurboTax you will need Self-Employed software.
