Are mortgage insurance premiums pmi deductible for tax year 2017 for California

My 2017 Fed taxes went down after including a revised 1098 which included PMI, Why did my California taxes not go down?

The US Congress passed the PMI deduction in February 2018 and this lowered my Fed AGI in my Amended 1040X.

No, unfortunately it is not a California deduction so it will not change (so you do not need to amend) your California state tax return.
