1099 write offs

Trying to figure out how to do my write off's for my 1099...for some reason it is only giving me the option to do it for my w-2..any suggestions?

To enter your self-employment (1099-MISC) expenses:

Go to Federal Taxes on the top menu bar, then

Income & Expenses 

Next to Self Employment Income, click Start. 

You will enter all of your business-related income before getting to the expenses section.
