Why does turbo tax keep asking me for a fed id # if the country selected in box 8 is United Kingdom?

On what screen are you being asked for a federal id #? I've entered a 1099-DIV with foreign taxes paid to the UK, and I don't get that question.
When Turbo Tax checks the entries for the 1099-DIV it comes up with an error since the Fed id# is 00-00000 as box 8 is marked as United Kingdom.
The solution that I've seen for this is that when the error comes up, delete the zeros, and leave the FEIN field blank. I agree that you shouldn't be asked for a federal id# for dividends, either foreign or otherwise.
