Turbo Tax deluxe will not let me add my tuition expenses.  Very frustrating.  It tells me "You entered this number in earlier"  but still shows "0".  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Of course!  I will be glad to help. To enter your Form 1098-T tuition information, please follow these steps:

    In TurboTax online,

    • Sign in to your account, select Pick up where you left off
    • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "1098t" and Enter
    • Select Jump to 1098t
    • On the screen, Now Let's gather XYZ's Additional Education Expenses
    • Follow prompts
    • Next screen, Your Education Expenses Summary, select Edit
    • Next screen Here's Your Education Summary, under Tuition, select Edit to enter tuition information

I’ve entered 1099-Q’s but Turbo Tax won’t let me enter tuition and fees and other expenses from 1098-T because it says our income is too high.  It’s only allowing me to enter textbooks!

    Please help.

    Thanks!

If the form 1099-Q is for your child's education, you should enter that on their tax return if you don't qualify for an education credit. They can use the education expenses to reduce the income earned on the education savings account.
