Go back to the Federal section of the program.

    To enter your 1098-T information:

    1.  Go to the Federal section of the program
    2.  Select "Deductions & Credits"
    3.  Select "Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)" and click start
    4. Select Edit to the right of the student's name input your information for the 1098-T.  Or Add A Student if no student is listed.

    Select Edit

Continue through the screens and answer the questions as applicable. TurboTax will determine which credit you qualify for based upon your answers.

Ok, I'm using the Turbo Tax Deluxe software. I have a 1098-T. It does not ask me for all of the information on the form. I have walked thru it several times. Under deductions/credits, I go to education expenses. It asks if I have a 1098-t or 1098-Q. I select yes. Then it asks if I had the ESA or qualified education program. I select 'no' and it takes me to the 1098-T screen. There is $0 for tuition and it won't allow me to edit that. It tells me I entered it earlier. Um, where? I can't find where to enter it.

I have followed steps exactly what it shows in posts on this site and I don't get some of these options. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and never had this issue.

    Any suggestions?

I suggest you delete the form 1098-T and re-enter it as follows:

While working on your tax return in TurboTax,

    1. Find the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar and click on it

    2. Click on Tools

    3. Find Delete a Form and click on it

    4. Look for form 1098-T in the list of forms and click on the option to delete it

Return to the education section in TurboTax and re-enter your form 1098-T and education information.
