Solar Tax Credit for PV & battery

I'd like to claim the Solar Investment Tax Credit for rooftop PV and a Powerwall. I have to get the two subsystems from different providers (SolarCity won't install the PV on my multifamily structure). Some web searches give conflicting instructions. Either I can just combine the figures for the systems on the Form 5965 or some claim the entire system has to be from a single vendor. Can I claim my total cost from the two vendors for my ITC expenses?

You will "enter the total of those costs on the applicable line(s) of one Form 5695," according to https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i5695/ch01.html#d0e58.
