Hi everyone, I'm hoping that I can get some help here. I take a new position mid year 2022. The new employer is in New Jersey, but I stayed in OH working remotely and moved to NJ in 2023. Employer has withhold tax for NJ, including FLI, NJ SDI and UI,HC,WD, but did not withhold tax for OH. I think I should pay all tax to OH, and should file for NJ tax return (all the withhold NJ state tax and probably include FLI, NJ SDI and UI,HC,WD)? Is that correct? If so, how should I do it in general?

Generally, you pay tax to the location where you worked. If you did not work in New Jersey in 2022, you do not pay taxes to New Jersey for the year. You can file a New Jersey nonresident return and report zero NJ income which will get you refund of your withholding, but you must contact your employer to get refund of FLI and SDI.
