Why do I owe north Carolina state taxes!

I only lived in North Carolina for two years and each year when I file my taxes NC says I owe x amount of dollars WHY!

Apparently you are not having enough NC withholding on your income. Get your Employer to increase your NC withholding.

Unless you have some special situation...but you haven't said anything about anything special...so maybe you just owe every year.
