You can include the sales tax on the jacuzzi under building materials as part of your sales tax deduction for Schedule A itemized expenses.  You would need to have more in itemized expenses than in the standard deduction in order to use this though.  The standard deduction is $6300 for single, $12,600 for married joint.  Unless the TOTAL of ALL your itemized expenses exceeds the standard, you will remain taking the standard
