if i owe unpaid traffic tickets in az, can the irs garnish my federal tax refund or just my state refund?

    The IRS does not involve itself in your unpaid traffic tickets.  But some states can and will seize a state refund for unpaid tickets.  TurboTax will not know if you have unpaid tickets.  If the state takes your refund, the state will send you a letter of explanation later.

    so the state can take my whole taxes or just what i get back from state?
