To get your refund check replaced, you will need to call the IRS and ask for a refund trace.

Call 800-829-1954 and talk to an agent. They will trace the check to see if was cashed and then replace it for you.

How do you know the refund was sent to the wrong address and thrown away?   Have you checked with the third party bank that handles the refund processing when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?   Did they send it to an incorrect address after the bank rejected it?

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

You can ask the IRS for a replacement for a lost refund.
