State tax will not transmit

I filed and transmitted my federal tax form, no issues. Today I received an email to update the software to file my Rhode Island state tax form. The software updated, I completed the tax form and paid the required fee and the form would not transmit.

I have since attempted to update the software but I am told it is up to date. I am noticing that many individuals have the same issue in different states. Is there a solution?

It does appear that many of the Rhode Island state forms are not yet available. When the forms needed for your state tax return aren't available, the program will not let you e-file. You can check the status of your state forms here.
