I have filed both Federal and NC State tax forms via TT Deluxe. After filing, I moved all my data from old computer running Windows 7 to new computer running Windows 10. However my tax file (*.tax2015) no longer has my state forms. I do have the pdf that contains both Fed and NC filings, but no state data in the TurboTax file. I repaired TT but that did not help. When I click on the NC tab in the program (See Amount), it asks if I want to download a state form but wants me to pay for it. Also, when I start the TT program and it tries to update, it will update my Federal forms but I get an error message for state (Error 1625, installation is forbidden by system policy). Any idea what happened to my state data in the TT program? Is there any way to get it back?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You need to get TTX Customer Support involved. They will either find a way to let you download your free NC software...or push a separate NC download into your account that you can install separately.
Keep a copy of that ..tax2015 datafile on that old computer for the moment. The reason that it didn't open with the NC forms on the new computer is that the NC software wasn't installed on the new computer yet. I don't know if your messing around with the new file copy might have corrupted the datafile or not. Leave the old file alone until you get the NC software installed right
........to Call Customer Support and talk to a real TTX person and get the NC software installed
A telephone number to call is provided ONLY when they are open.....The current Operation Hours are listed under the "CONTACT" Button here:
