Where do I find where my state refund is going to in the Turbo tax App?

You can determine how you will be receiving your state refund by following the steps below.

If you have not filed your return yet

1. Go to the File section in the left menu (click on the 3 lines in upper left-hand corner to view menu)
2. Next to Step 2: Your refund info select Revisit.
3. It will show your selection for how to receive your refund

If you have already filed your return, click on click on Tax Tools from the left-side menu (click on the 3 lines in upper left-hand corner to view menu) and then Print Center. Click on Print, save or preview this year's returns. Scroll down to your state return to see if you entered banking information on the form. If so, you will be receiving a direct deposit of your refund. If not, you will be receiving a check in the mail.

I am about fininshing my taxes on Turbo tax, the screen tells me I own $510 to Virginia, It cannot be correct, I paid Virginia taxes quarterly at the rate of $436.00 per quarter, for four quarters, I should get a refund of approxamnately $1100-1200 dollars refund, NO WAY I SHOULD BE PAYING ANYTHING  !!

Before you file View your tax summary for both your State and Federal. 

In your case, make sure the tax summary shows the payments that you made.  

The summary will also show your income, taxable income, deductions, and payments made (in summary form) so you can check to be sure these numbers match what you entered in TurboTax.

To View your Tax Summary:

Choose Tools/Tax Tools/View Tax Summary from the menu in black on the left.  See this link for more details:  View my Tax Summary before Filing  (The State Tax Summary will be just above the Federal Tax Summary in the black menu also)
