How do I fix this so that I can file?

If you are getting Reject code R0148 from the State of New York, try these steps:

You have a missing primary or spouse signature checkbox on the New York E-file Declaration statement.

1. In the New York state tax return, Revisit the File tab,
2. Click on Revisit to file,
3. Click Continue until you reach the "Declaration to E-file Your State" screen.
4. Be sure you check the Taxpayer box (and Spouse box if applicable)
5. Try to re-file your return.

This has been an intermittent issue for several people, but many have been successful today so please try again- and post if it is not accepted.
