I'm late filing my taxes for tax year 2022. For 2022, I am filing federal, New York state and California non-resident taxes (Form 540-NR). After i added in all my information in Turbo tax, the software included forms 540-ES as part of my California state tax return and suggested an amount of approx. $3k as estimated taxes to paid for taxable year 2023. Aside from the $3k payment, turbo tax calculated that I'm owed a refund for Federal and NYC.
However I was laid off in November 2022 and aside from a small severance payment in Jan. 2023, I did not have any income. I also moved out of the US in December 2022.
Should i still pay the estimated taxes that was suggested as part of my 2023 Cali tax return? Very confused right now. Could somebody provide insight?

No. Ignore the estimates for 2023. It is too late to pay any estimates for 2023 and especially if you won't be filing a 2023 tax return or have any income. The program doesn't know you are filing 2022 late. They are just a suggestion.
